Help Design This Giant William Morris Mural For Walthamstow

Coming soon to Walthamstow: the gigantic bearded countenance of William Morris. The designer's likeness will be painted large on the end wall of a terrace, facing towards the William Morris Gallery.

But the background has yet to be decided. The mural's organisers want you to vote on the pattern that best sets off Mr M. All are based on original William Morris wallpaper designs. Flick through the gallery below to see which you like the best, then vote on the PickYourPattern website.

The mural and vote are organised by local street art organisation Wood Street Walls and William Morris Big Local. The mural will occupy the gable end wall on Bedford Road following full insulation by the local HEET society. It will be painted by local artist Atma. The work will be done during the Walthamstow Garden Party, 16-17 July.
